Supply and Deliver Steel Transmission Poles

The Stillwater Utilities Authority (SUA) is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to qualified manufacturers, suppliers, and authorized distributors for the fabrication, galvanizing, and delivery of steel transmission poles that meet specific ASCE/SEI 48 and RUS Bulletin 1724E‑214 standards. Bidders must submit their proposals through the SUA online bid portal by the close date. The scope includes: • Supplying a range of pole lengths (6‑15 ft) with 12‑sided, tapered tubular steel construction. • Poles must be hot‑dip galvanized, include factory‑welded bottom bearing plates with vent openings, and have protective coating (minimum 6 mils) from 1 ft above ground to 3 ft above the bearing plate. • Each pole must feature a permanent structural steel top plate, name plate with owner, height, class, manufacture date, and manufacturer name, as well as grounding nuts and plastic plugs. • Delivery must be “direct‑embedded” ready, with all required hardware (dead‑end vang assemblies, grounding plates, etc.) pre‑installed. • Bids are to be submitted electronically; questions must be submitted by 9/30/2026.
