FY26-FY30 AGENCY-WIDE PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS

The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking licensed psychologists to perform pre-employment, reinstatement, and retire/rehire evaluations. The selected contractors will provide services on an as-needed basis in accordance with contract terms. The contract term will begin on the date the contract is fully executed and end on August 31, 2030. Applicants must possess a valid applicable degree, a current Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP) license, and at least two years of experience in diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. • Required qualifications include a valid applicable degree, a current TSBEP license, and at least two years of experience in diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. • Applicants must provide pricing for at least one type of evaluation as listed in the Mandatory Pricing Schedule. • Contractors will be compensated per evaluation completed, and each evaluation consists of a comprehensive file review, interpretation of at least two objective psychological assessments, a thorough clinical interview, and completion and submission of required documentation. • Contractors must undergo two to four hours of procedural training by current DPS psychologists regarding the DPS psychological evaluation process. • Contractors must adhere to ethical principles and standards for practice in their jurisdiction, as set forth by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP) and the American Psychological Association.
