Fleet Maintenance Service Truck w/Crane, Air Compressor, Service Body

The City of Rapid City is seeking bids for the purchase of one new service truck with a crane, air compressor, and service body. The truck will be used by the Rapid City Maintenance Division. The bid specifications include requirements for the engine, transmission, chassis, cab, and interior, as well as the service body and crane. The successful bidder will be required to provide a comprehensive warranty and support for the vehicle. Key features of the job include: • The truck must have a minimum 325 horsepower engine and 750 lb.-ft. torque • The transmission must be a heavy-duty 6-speed automatic with integral PTO provision • The chassis must be a Class 7 truck with a minimum 33,000 lbs. GVWR and air-ride suspension • The service body must be 11’ in length with 62” tall cabinets and a master locking system • The crane must have a minimum lifting capacity of 10,000 lbs. and be hydraulically operated The City of Rapid City reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive any minor technicalities. The contract will be awarded to the bidder submitting the lowest responsible bid meeting the exact requirements of the specification.
