As-Needed Harbor Engineering and Architectural Design Consultants

The Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors is seeking qualified and experienced vendors to provide as-needed consultant services in the disciplines of Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Planning and Design for Department projects located in County-owned and unincorporated areas of Marina del Rey, Marina del Rey harbor, and at County-owned and operated beaches. Typical projects involve the development and maintenance of facilities and improvements supporting coastal access and recreation, coastal armoring and infrastructure, and coastal community planning. Vendors may pre-qualify under each of the following categories: Engineering Services, Architectural and/or Landscape Architectural Design Services, and Planning and Other Design Services. • Engineering Services: Provide professional engineering services, including preliminary, conceptual, schematic, and construction documents, scheduling, cost estimates, project management, drafting services, land surveys, bathymetric surveys, geotechnical studies, groundwater surveys, construction management services, and presentations to various commissions and boards. • Architectural and/or Landscape Architectural Design Services: Provide professional architectural and/or landscape architectural design services, including preliminary, conceptual, schematic, and construction documents, facility needs assessments, scheduling, cost estimates, project management, drafting services, rendering and graphic art services, reviews and evaluations of proposed development and redevelopment, design guideline development, and presentations to various commissions and boards. • Planning and Other Design Services: Provide professional planning and other design services, including needs assessments, feasibility studies, community outreach, land acquisition and real estate support services, regulatory and jurisdictional requirements, assistance with entitlements, GIS and mapping services, concept plan and design, CEQA and NEPA studies and compliance services, signage and wayfinding design, branding and identity development, environmental graphics master planning, industrial design, graphic standards programs, interactive communications and signage, and presentations to various commissions and boards.
