Intent to Sole Source - Tower Lease

The US Air Force intends to sole source a contract to Alascom, Inc. for the lease of tower facilities at the Beaver Creek Array and Pedro Dome locations. The contract will consist of a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. The contractor will provide land leases, access, and utility support for the continuous operation of government-owned seismic detection equipment at these locations. The contractor will also be responsible for providing continuous, uninterrupted commercial electrical power to the government's equipment. • The contract will require the contractor to provide unescorted, 24/7 access for government personnel to the leased areas. • The contractor will be responsible for ensuring that the location of government equipment is free from moisture and complies with all applicable OSHA standards. • The contractor will be required to notify the government of any changes to access procedures, facility conditions, or other factors that may impact the government's ability to operate its equipment. • The contractor will be responsible for providing status updates to the government in the event of an unplanned service interruption.
