Description
Hood River County is seeking a firm to design and build a solar plus storage microgrid system for the Mt. Hood Town Hall. The system should provide power to the facility during a power outage, offset operating costs, enhance sustainability, and support the Mt. Hood Towne Hall Association's mission. The project includes installing solar photovoltaic systems, battery energy storage systems, and microgrid controls. The project budget is estimated to be between $825,000 and $885,000. The successful proposer will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying the microgrid system.
• The system must provide power to the larger grid system when operating under everyday circumstances.
• The system must island itself from the grid system and continue to provide power to the location during an emergency event.
• The system must be designed and built to meet specific technical requirements, including state standards and building codes.
• The proposer must provide a site plan, operations and maintenance manual, and training to enable the Mt. Hood Town Hall Association and County staff to perform required operational tasks and routine maintenance.
