Seawolf Class Preservation

The US Navy is conducting market research to determine industry capability and interest in performing non-SUBSAFE preservation on Seawolf Class vessels. The work includes blasting and painting of two Main Ballast Tanks, interior above and below residual water line, including air flasks, baffles, and exterior hull. The contractor shall furnish the necessary management, material support services, labor, supplies, and equipment deemed necessary to perform depot level preservation. • The anticipated contract type will be a firm-fixed price requirement procured via Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation criteria. • The Government is seeking responses from sources that can perform depot level preservation, such as coating removal, surface preparation, coating application. • The work is anticipated to begin in December 2026. • Interested companies should submit a notice of interest, including company information and a brief description of their capabilities.
