The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources that can provide a Brand Name or Equal Belmont Rapid Infuser. The rapid infuser should have the ability to rapidly transfuse patient's blood products and intravenous fluids, and should have features such as rigid pressure chambers, ability to warm fluids, and safety features that detect the presence of air in blood and crystalloid. The scope of work includes providing the rapid infuser, customer support, and access to high-performance disposable administration sets. The delivery schedule is 90 days after receipt of order. Key features and requirements include: • Rigid pressure chambers that can accommodate standard blood and crystalloid bags pressure for rapid infusion • Ability to warm fluids to greater than 40C • Safety features that detect the presence of air in blood and crystalloid, alerts clinicians, automatically stops the flow and allows quick removal of air without disconnecting from the patient • Customer support and access to high-performance disposable administration sets • Installation instruction and customer support will be needed
