Invitation to Bid: Solid Waste Collection & Disposal Services

The City of Twin Falls, Idaho, is seeking proposals for residential solid waste and disposal services, including the potential for the collection of recyclables. The City currently provides curbside collection of solid waste, recyclables, and yard waste to 16,747 residential dwelling units and 3,653 extra carts. The selected contractor will be responsible for collecting at curbside on a weekly basis all solid waste services and bi-weekly recycling services. The contractor will also provide each single-family residential customer within the City of Twin Falls with weekly solid waste collection services, the rent of a single 95-gallon trash receptacle, and all other service requirements specifically outlined in the bid documents. Some key aspects of the job include: • Residential solid waste collection and disposal, and potential curbside recycling program • Bulky and large item collection and disposal • Building or home improvement waste collection • Yard waste collection and processing • Potential recyclable collection and processing • Public education and promotion of proper disposal of solid waste and recyclables • Accommodation of disabled persons • Emergency or disaster services
