Request for Proposals (RFP): St. Ann's Hill & Derby Downs Hay Lease

The City of Watertown is requesting proposals for the lease of approximately 85 acres of hay land located in Codington County, South Dakota. The lease will be for an initial term of two years, with an option for one additional two-year renewal. The lease arrangement will be "Rent for Shares" with half of all hay harvested to be delivered to the Bramble Park Zoo. Proposals must include the bidder's name, address, phone number, and email, as well as a specification of whether the hay will be delivered in round or square bales. • The lease area includes two parcels: St. Ann's Hill and Derby Downs Rodeo Area. • The haying schedule shall be coordinated with the City of Watertown or its designated representative. • Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: "St. Ann's Hill & Derby Downs Hay Lease: Finance Department". • The selected Lessee will be required to sign an annual Indemnification and Waiver Agreement.
