Glendale Street Trail from New Jersey Road to Lakeland Highlands Road

The City of Lakeland is seeking a Florida‑registered contractor to construct a new 10‑foot wide shared‑use trail along Glendale Street between New Jersey Road and Lakeland Highlands Road. The work includes clearing and grubbing, earthwork and grading, roadway reconstruction, sidewalk and driveway construction, and drainage improvements. Bidders must be pre‑qualified by the Florida Department of Transportation in the specified workgroups (drainage, flexible paving, pavement marking, roadway signing, sidewalks/other). The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder; all bids must be submitted electronically through the City’s OpenGov portal. A mandatory pre‑bid meeting is scheduled, and a 5 % bid bond and extensive insurance coverage are required.
