Description:
The Science Transport & Robotic Innovation for Deployment and Exploration (STRIDE) program is a new program element under the Planetary Science Division (PSD) in the ROSES-2025 solicitation. The program aims to solicit proposals from U.S. industry to conduct design studies of advanced robotic surface and aerial mobility systems with payload transportation and deployment capability for Mars surface operations. The goal of the program is to identify commercial systems that can operate in realistic Martian environments while enabling cost-effective transportation and/or deployment of science payloads. • The program seeks participation from a broad range of providers, including established space hardware developers and terrestrial robotics companies. • Proposals will be encouraged to articulate how their proposed platform could enhance overall science return. • The program aims to identify key capability gaps and help advance the broader landscape of robotic exploration at Mars.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$500,000 – $5,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate as the document does not provide specific information on the funding amount. However, based on the fact that NASA anticipates selecting multiple awards and the program aims to develop advanced robotic systems for Mars surface operations, the budget could be substantial. The estimated budget range could be between $500,000 to $5 million, considering the complexity and scope of the project. The actual budget will depend on the proposals submitted and the availability of funds.
