Hotel Developer

The City of Canton is seeking a hotel developer to develop a hotel in the downtown area. The proposed hotel will be an Upper Upscale, soft-branded property, and the developer will be responsible for negotiating and concluding agreements within 30 days of being selected. The hotel will be located on a 2.45-acre site in downtown Canton, and the developer will be expected to provide a proposed development plan, including the number of stories, number of rooms, F&B outlets, meeting space, and proposed amenities. The developer will also be expected to provide financial information, including a five-year proforma and estimated development costs. • The hotel will be the first Upper Upscale, soft-branded property in Canton and Cherokee County. • The hotel will be located in downtown Canton, with excellent proximity to dining, retail, and entertainment options. • The developer will be expected to provide a proposed development plan, including the number of stories, number of rooms, F&B outlets, meeting space, and proposed amenities. • The developer will be expected to provide financial information, including a five-year proforma and estimated development costs. • The City of Canton will provide parking spaces within the adjacent parking deck located directly next to the site. • The City of Canton Economic Development has structured districts and zones that provide incentives based on job creation and the Downtown Development Revolving Loan Fund (DDRLF).
