External Financial Audit Services

Multnomah County is seeking proposals for external financial audit services. The selected firm will provide audits of the County's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, single audits, and other related services. The contract term is expected to be three years with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms. The scope of work includes audits of the County's financial statements, single audits, and other services such as IT review and recommendations, management advisory letters, and technical assistance. The County has a budget of approximately $4 billion and provides various services including law enforcement, elections, corrections, and public health. • The County is seeking a firm with experience in auditing Oregon municipal governments and familiarity with Government Auditing Standards and Oregon Revised Statutes. • The firm should have expertise in conducting single audits and audits of blended component units. • The firm should be able to provide a detailed breakdown of their proposed fees and pricing structure. • The firm should have a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and be able to demonstrate their experience in fostering these values. • The firm should have a robust data security plan in place to protect sensitive data during the audit process.
