Zirconium Hydride

The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) is soliciting quotes for the procurement of Zirconium Hydride to be utilized at Crane Army Ammunition Activity. The requirement is for 10 pounds of Zirconium Hydride for First Article Testing and 2216 pounds of Zirconium Hydride. The Zirconium Hydride must meet the chemical and physical requirements of MIL-Z-21353. The contractor must provide a Certificate of Analysis for each lot submitted and perform all tests unless otherwise specified. • The Zirconium Hydride must be produced domestically and the contractor must provide a supply chain map. • The material must have an average particle diameter of less than 10 microns. • The contractor must perform all tests unless otherwise specified. • The contractor will submit a 10-pound first article sample for laboratory and performance testing prior to shipment of the first full lot.
