Description

This solicitation seeks a qualified vendor to provide emergency traffic‑control equipment rentals and rapid‑response mobilization services for incidents throughout the state. The contractor must maintain an inventory of a wide variety of signs, barricades, drums, message boards, and related devices, and be able to deploy them within 1‑2 hours of an incident request. Rates are set per‑day for each item, with a fixed mobilization fee per response. Two vendors have submitted proposals, each offering different unit rates and response times. • Supply unlimited quantities of traffic‑control devices (signs, barricades, drums, message boards, cones, etc.) on a per‑day rental basis. • Provide rapid‑response deployment (1‑hour or 2‑hour response windows) and a fixed mobilization charge for each incident. • Must hold required certifications (TERO, CESO, ATSSA) and comply with all applicable safety standards.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

Based on the per‑day rental rates (ranging from $0.60 for drums to $125 for message boards) and a mobilization fee of $550‑$1,250 per incident, a typical year could see anywhere from a few dozen to several hundred incident responses. Assuming an average of 150 incidents annually, with an average equipment bill of $150 per incident plus a $900 mobilization fee, total annual revenue would fall roughly between $150,000 and $400,000. Larger incidents with more equipment would push the high end higher, while a lighter usage pattern would keep the low end near $100,000.
