Request Contract ITB for bulk delivery of Sodium Hypochlorite - Ordinance # 191614

The City of Portland is seeking bids for the bulk delivery of Sodium Hypochlorite. The successful supplier(s) will provide the City's Wastewater Treatment Plants with bulk Sodium Hypochlorite. The contract will be for a period of one year, and the City reserves the right to purchase additional product beyond the quantities stated in the bid documents at the same prices submitted by the bidder. • The Sodium Hypochlorite shall contain 12.5% NaCl to 16% NaCl. • The supplier must be prepared to furnish the items requested within three (3) days after receipt of an order, except for emergency deliveries which may be required within eight (8) hours after receiving the order. • The supplier shall provide up to ten (10) hours of safety training per year. • The City has a history of striving to be more sustainable in its operations and planning, and the City seeks to do business with firms that will actively contribute to the City's sustainability objectives.
