Request for Proposals for Agricultural Leases in the Natomas Basin

The Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency (SAFCA) is seeking proposals to lease agricultural lands in the Natomas Basin. The leases will be for a long-term period, and the selected lessee will be required to maintain the lands in agricultural production to provide foraging habitat for Swainson's hawk and other species. The proposal may be for one or multiple properties, and the selection will be done on a property-by-property basis. • The lessee will be required to maintain insurance coverage, including general liability, automobile liability, and environmental insurance. • The lessee will be responsible for the acts and omissions of all subcontractors. • The lessee will be required to provide evidence of insurance coverage and renewal notices. • The lessee will be required to notify SAFCA of any claims or lawsuits related to the lease.
