The City of Columbus is issuing an RFQ for the fabrication, laser‑etching, and delivery of custom steel street plates and excavation cover plates. Two distinct items are required: (1) a 1‑inch‑thick street plate measuring 48” × 96” with a lifting bung and laser‑etched owner name and 24‑hour emergency contact; three units are needed. (2) a ½‑inch‑thick excavation cover plate measuring 60” × 24” (no lifting bung) with the same etching requirements; four units are needed. All plates must be made from domestic steel, meet specific dimensional tolerances, and comply with city signing standards (see attached drawing).
