Automated Processes for Knowledge Discovery and Information Retrieval

The Department of the Air Force is seeking innovative research to develop, demonstrate, integrate, test, evaluate, and deliver technologies that process and exploit multi-source, multi-domain classified, open source, non-traditional source data to improve Battlespace Awareness, derive decision quality information, and automate analysis/decision processes. Some key points to consider include: • The total funding for this BAA is approximately $99M, with individual awards normally ranging from $3M to $35M. • The announcement is open and effective until 9 Sep 2029, with suggested submission dates for FY25, FY26, FY27, FY28, and FY29. • The Air Force reserves the right to award zero, one, or more Procurement Contracts or Other Transactions and assistance instruments. • Proposals shall include information to determine adequate financial resources to perform the effort, taking into consideration all existing commercial and governmental business commitments. • The evaluation criteria for assistance instruments will include the technical merits of the proposed research and development, the potential relationship of the proposed research and development to DOW missions, and cost/price.
