Description
NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) seeks a university research team to develop a prototype operational modeling framework that assesses the feasibility of mission‑support manifests within the Spaceport Digital Twin environment. The effort will be performed primarily by one graduate‑level researcher, overseen by faculty, and will require frequent on‑site collaboration at KSC for data access, validation, and iterative testing. The 120‑working‑day contract includes defining a use case, building a canonical data model and dictionary, identifying and formalizing operational constraints, implementing prototype logic, and delivering verification, validation, sensitivity analysis, scenario demonstrations, and full transition documentation. Deliverables are scheduled across 20 weeks with NASA review milestones.
• 120‑working‑day period (≈20 weeks) – one graduate researcher + faculty oversight
• On‑site work at NASA KSC, Florida, with rapid (≤1 business‑day) response capability
• Tasks: project management, use‑case definition, data modeling, constraint logic, prototype implementation, V&V, sensitivity/intervention analysis, scenario demos, final hand‑off package
• Milestone‑driven deliverables (kickoff, data model, prototype code, validation report, scenario package, final documentation)
• NASA‑provided data and controlled‑access resources; compliance with security, export‑control, and CUI requirements
• Outcome: a reusable, explainable feasibility‑evaluation tool for a selected mission‑support domain within the Spaceport Digital Twin.
