Description
The U.S. Army is seeking information from potential contractors to provide Local Area Network (LAN) cable installation and maintenance services at Tobyhanna Army Depot in Pennsylvania. The contractor will be responsible for installing, extending, retracting, moving, and performing all necessary work for the LAN to support multimedia functions. The period of performance will be one year, with an option to extend for four additional years. The contractor must provide all necessary personnel, equipment, and materials to perform the work, except for Government Furnished Material (GFM) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
Some key requirements include:
* Installing LAN cabling in accordance with industry standards
* Providing remedial and preventive maintenance for the LAN
* Restoring the LAN to operational status within 18 business hours of a major failure
* Providing a team of journeyman LAN cable installers to install and terminate category 6 and 6A LAN twisted pair cable drops
* Installing pre-terminated fiber optic cables as requested by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)
