Fireproofing Chemical, Coating Compound

The US Army is intending to award a sole source contract for the purchase of 113,000 lbs of Fireproofing Chemical, Coating Compound, Thermal Insulation. The product is required to support the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP). The contract will be a one-time, firm fixed price purchase. The Government has already identified International Paint, LLC as the sole source for this procurement, as they have a conforming product on the Qualified Product List (QPL) that has been tested and approved for use on MCAAP's production lines. • The contract is for a specific quantity of Fireproofing Chemical, Coating Compound, Thermal Insulation. • The product must meet the requirements of the Qualified Product List (QPL). • The contract will be awarded under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source under the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. • The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred related to this notice.
