RFA for a Sponsoring Organization for the REN for the Willamette Valley and the South Coast

The Oregon Department of Education is seeking two separate Sponsoring Organizations to serve as liaisons between the Educator Advancement Council and local school districts and partners within the Willamette Valley and South Coast regions. The selected organizations will be responsible for facilitating the work of regions to improve systems designed to support educators. The grant includes Capacity Funds and Formula Funds, with each Sponsoring Organization eligible for up to $50,000 in start-up funds and additional funding for the 2026-2027 year. • The grant aims to support the development of regional educator networks to enhance access to high-quality professional learning for educators. • The Sponsoring Organizations will be responsible for coordinating services across the region, ensuring equitable access to resources and opportunities, and building educator capacity. • The grant will be awarded for a period of one year, with the possibility of amendment. • The evaluation criteria for the grant include Sponsoring Organization capacity and readiness, commitment to equity, regional partnerships and capacity, and fiscal management. • The grant is open to school districts, education service districts, nonprofit organizations, postsecondary institutions of education, and federally-recognized Native American Tribes of Oregon.
