The U.S. Embassy to Libya Public Affairs Section is seeking projects that build capacity and community, promote social good, and enhance mutual understanding between the people of Libya and the United States. The objectives of the Public Diplomacy Grant Program are to capitalize on arts initiatives, promote leadership and positive community engagement, increase Libyan youth capabilities in STEAM programs, and address environmental challenges. Some key points to consider: • The maximum award amount is $25,000 USD. • The award floor is $500. • The program encourages applications from all sectors, including civil-society organizations, think tanks, non-governmental organizations, cultural institutions, academic institutions, and individuals. • U.S. NGOs and individuals may apply, but preference is given to Libyan NGOs or partnerships that develop capacity with Libyan NGOs. • Initiatives that support diversity and inclusion of minority groups and link with U.S. universities or organizations are welcome.
