SUNDAY PARKWAYS VOLUNTEER AND COURSE MANAGEMENT

The City of Portland is seeking a contractor to provide volunteer management and course management services for the Sunday Parkways events in 2019 and 2020. The contractor will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, as well as providing course management services such as route signage and traffic control. The contractor will work closely with City personnel to accomplish these goals. The City is looking for a contractor with experience in volunteer management and event planning. The contract will be for a period of two years, with the possibility of renewal. The City prefers goods or services that have been manufactured or produced by a Local Business. Key aspects of the job include: * Volunteer recruitment, training, and management * Course management, including route signage and traffic control * Coordination with City personnel * Event planning and execution * Compliance with City policies and procedures * Experience working with diverse communities and populations * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team
