The work focuses on enhancing student safety, improving accessibility, and revitalizing outdoor learning and athletic spaces:Mendenhall Campus (Mendenhall High & Elementary School): This site will receive new fencing, access control gates, resurfaced parking lots and streets, restriped parking lots that were resurfaced, new sidewalks and curbs with car stops, modified grading to improve drainage, new ADA ramps with railings, a new paved parking lot at the multipurpose building, new landscaping, a new amphitheater with a plaza, and new metal canopies.Magee Campus (Magee High & Middle School): This site will receive new fencing, access control gates, resurfaced parking lots, restriped parking lots that were resurfaced, new sidewalks and curbs, modified grading to improve drainage, new ADA ramps with railings, new canopies, two new dumpster pads, relocation of some site elements, and new lighting at the football stadium.Simpson County Technical Center: This site will receive new fencing and gates.Simpson Central School: This site will receive new fencing and gates.BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENINGOwner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Bid proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope marked plainly on the outside of the envelope with the following: "Simpson County School District – Site Development; Project number 25111.04 to be opened September 29, 2026" Envelope shall be addressed to Dr. Robert L. Sanders, Superintendent, 111 Education Ln, Mendenhall, MS 39114. In addition, the envelope shall list the bidders Company name, Company address and all applicable state and local license and registration numbers of the bidder. Envelopes not so marked are submitted at the risk of the bidder as the Owner and Architect assume no responsibility for the premature opening of any bid envelope by any employee of the Owner or Architect. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows:In addition, Electronic bids may be submitted through the website www.dalebaileyplans.com. Electronic bids are not required by the Simpson County School District but offered as another means to submit a bid. Single stipulated sum bids will be received for all work required by the contract documents in accordance with the Instructions to BiddersBid Date: Thursday, October 1, 2026.Bid Time: 2:00 p.m., local time.Location: Central Office, Simpson County School District, 111 Education Ln, Mendenhall, MS 39114.Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank proposal forms provided with the specifications and must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of a Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid: such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute a contract and post Performance and Payment Bonds in the form and amount within the time specified. The Bid Bond, if used, shall be payable to the Owner.Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.BID SECURITYBid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids.
