Brookings Regional Landfill - Farmland Lease

The City of Brookings is seeking bids for a 5-year farmland lease at the Brookings Regional Landfill. The lease is for approximately 115 acres of crop land, and the bid is to be an annual per acre amount. The parcel shall be used only for cropland purposes, and livestock will not be allowed. Starting Year 2 of the contract, the per acre price shall increase by 2% each year through the term of the contract. • The lease duration is 5 years, effective January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2030 • The bid must be signed and submitted in a sealed envelope with the statement "Farmland Lease at Brookings Regional Landfill" on the left-hand corner • Bids may not be withdrawn within 30 days after the actual opening • The City of Brookings reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and all bids
