Request for Proposals for Auditing Services

The Oakridge School District 76 is seeking a qualified, independent certified public accounting firm to perform its annual financial audit for the years ending June 30, 2026, 2027, and 2028. The selected audit firm will be responsible for examining the financial statements of the District, providing assistance to District staff on various accounting and reporting issues, and issuing an unmodified opinion on the District's financial statements. The firm will also be required to provide a management letter or report to management each year, and to respond to reasonable inquiries of successor auditors. The District utilizes Powerschool eFinance financial software hosted by Willamette ESD, and the selected audit firm should have experience auditing districts using this software. • The audit must be prepared in conformance with the financial reporting standards applicable to governmental entities as adopted and issued by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board. • The audit must be performed by Generally Accepted Auditing Standards in the United States of America and the standards applicable to financial audits contained in Government Auditing Standards, issued by the Comptroller General of the United States. • The firm shall list all district audits that have been discontinued or terminated within the preceding three fiscal years and state the reason for the discontinuance or termination. • The firm should have experience providing management consulting services and describe recent engagements of that type handled by firm personnel. • The firm should describe its professional development program and the specialized programs offered within the area of governmental accounting and auditing.
