The Department of Correction is seeking a contractor to provide sewing, upholstery, and mattress services. The contractor will be required to provide a variety of products, including upholstery/mattress foam and padding, upholstery/mattress fabrics, upholstery/mattress vinyl and ticking, batting, and miscellaneous box springs and inner springs. The contractor must also comply with various regulations, including the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) and Executive Order 515, Establishing an Environmental Purchasing Policy. The contract will be for a period of 15 years, with an estimated value of $1 million to $5 million. • The contractor must have experience in providing similar services to correctional facilities. • The contractor must have a strong financial background and be able to provide references. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to environmental sustainability and social responsibility. • The contractor must provide a detailed pricing structure, including unit costs and discounts. • The contractor must have a plan in place for emergency response and preparedness.
