Base Notice: Space Systems Command (SSC) Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Research and Development (R&D) Effort.

The U.S. Space Force’s Space Systems Command is conducting market research for a Sources‑Sought effort to support the Wide Field‑of‑View (WFOV) Testbed Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) R&D program. The effort focuses on calibration, characterization, and post‑launch support of a proprietary wide‑field OPIR refractive telescope (WASP) that includes a custom focal‑plane array, cryocooler, and associated electronics. The selected vendor(s) would provide engineering analysis, documentation updates, software/firmware modifications, hardware maintenance, and continuity‑of‑operations oversight. Work will be performed at multiple sites (Boulder, CO and Blossom Point, MD) and requires personnel with Secret to TS/SCI clearances.
