Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a large‑scale foreshore risk‑reduction project on Lake Pontchartrain (LPV) in Jefferson Parish, LA. The contract will be firm‑fixed‑price, with an estimated value between $25 M and $100 M. Work includes site access, demolition, clearing and grub‑bing, excavation and placement of embankments, geotextile installation, stone placement, wave‑berm repairs, and turf establishment/maintenance across four reaches. All construction equipment must be barged in via designated marine access points; a temporary chain‑link fence with swing gates is required along the construction easement. No project labor agreement is required. Bids are due October 19, 2026, with questions due by October 2, 2026.
