Description
NASA’s Shared Services Center is issuing a sole‑source procurement to acquire a new LPSR‑300 Solar Absorptivity Measurement System, with a trade‑in of the existing unit. The instrument must be portable (≤20 lb), operable in any orientation, and meet a spectral resolution of 5 % or better across 250‑2500 nm with repeatability of ±2 %. The system will be used for in‑situ extravehicular activity (EVA) assessments and to maintain continuity with historic data. The solicitation recommends negotiation exclusively with AZ Technology, citing the unique capability to accept the trade‑in and meet NASA’s stringent performance and weight requirements.
• Sole‑source award to AZ Technology (no competition).
• Deliver a LPSR‑300 system that can be exchanged for the existing unit.
• Must be ≤20 lb, orientation‑agnostic, spectral 250‑2500 nm, ≤5 % resolution, ±2 % repeatability.
• Intended for space EVA applications and long‑term data consistency.
• Period of performance expected to conclude by 31 Jan 2026.
