Fleet Building Renovation

The City of Coconut Creek is seeking a licensed General Contractor to fully renovate its Fleet Building (4900 West Copans Road). The scope includes structural hardening, roof replacement, solar array installation, impact‑rated doors and windows, interior finishes, HVAC, electrical upgrades, mezzanine replacement, fence installation, painting, and security system upgrades while keeping the vehicle bays operational during normal business hours. The project must adhere to code‑update requirements and maintain safety barriers around active work zones. Bidders must submit electronic bids with a 5 % bid bond and be prepared to provide performance and payment bonds equal to 100 % of the contract price. • Structural reinforcement and code‑compliant upgrades • Removal of cupolas and replacement of standing‑seam metal roof, gutters, downspouts • Installation of new lightning protection and a solar photovoltaic array • Replacement of all exterior doors, windows, and hurricane shutters with impact‑rated units • Interior demolition, new casework, millwork, metal shelving, flooring, ceilings, and LED lighting • Complete HVAC, electrical, ATS, and data/telecom upgrades • Mezzanine removal/replacement and new stair/rail systems • Expansion of metal fencing, painting (interior/exterior), and CCTV relocation/addition • Temporary fencing/barriers to protect operational vehicle bays; weekend work for critical phases • Required compliance with City safety, insurance, and bonding requirements
