Increasing MAT Services within DHCS-Licensed SUD Facilities Round Three

The purpose of this project is to improve access to Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) in DHCS-licensed residential Substance Use Disorder (SUD) facilities. This will be done by supporting costs associated with recruitment, mentorship, training, and other associated costs to increase provider knowledge and comfort with providing MAT. Eligible applicants may choose between two tracks: Track One for facilities that do not currently have a MAT prescriber onsite, and Track Two for facilities that already have a MAT prescriber onsite and want to expand services. The funding opportunity will provide support for recruitment, mentorship, training, and learning collaboration. • The project aims to increase access to MAT in DHCS-licensed residential SUD facilities. • Eligible applicants must be non-profit, DHCS-licensed, adult or youth residential SUD facilities located in California. • Facilities with 16 beds and under may apply for up to $250,000, facilities with 50 beds and under may apply for up to $350,000, and facilities with 51 beds and over may apply for up to $550,000. • The project will be funded by the California Department of Health Care Services' Opioid Response Project. • The payments will be deliverable based, meaning contractors need to demonstrate progress on startup measures and fulfill set deliverables.
