DOER PON-ENE-2022-011 LBE Feasibility Study Grant Program Opportunity Notice

The Department of Energy Resources is offering grants for feasibility studies to support state entities in reducing their energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The grants will focus on studying the feasibility of clean energy technologies and strategies, such as renewable thermal applications, innovative solar applications, and energy storage. The goal of the program is to support the development of projects that can reduce or eliminate onsite fossil fuel use, reduce energy consumption, and lower energy costs. • The program is open to state entities, including executive branch agencies, state institutions of higher education, and quasi-public authorities. • Grant applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until June 30, 2027, or until funds are no longer available. • The maximum grant amount is $150,000 per study. • The program will prioritize projects that help advance the goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and limiting the use of fossil fuels. • Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and awards will be made based on the evaluation criteria, which includes the potential for significant environmental and fiscal benefits, the extent of energy efficiency measures already undertaken or planned, and the extent to which the project can be replicated at other state facilities.
