Description
The County of Ocean is seeking a qualified contractor to construct a new overpass (C.R. 539) at the intersection of Whiting – New Egypt Road over Ridge Way, spanning Plumsted and Jackson Townships. The project includes all civil engineering, site preparation, structural steel, concrete work, paving, drainage, and related utilities necessary to complete the overpass in compliance with county specifications and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Scope: Design‑build or construct‑only execution of a highway overpass (approx. 30‑40 ft span).
• Location: Ridge Way, between Whiting and New Egypt Road, within Plumsted and Jackson Townships, Ocean County.
• Required deliverables: Complete construction drawings, permitting, material submittals, quality‑control plans, and final as‑built documentation.
• Contractor responsibilities: Mobilization, earthwork, sub‑grade preparation, structural steel erection, concrete deck placement, roadway paving, signage, and traffic control during construction.
• Compliance: Must meet New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) standards and any applicable environmental permits.
