Climate Program Office (CPO) FY2026 Earth System Science and Services Partnership

The NOAA Climate Program Office is soliciting a single‑award cooperative agreement to fund a one‑year Earth System Science and Services Partnership (ESSSP). The partnership will support research, observations, modeling, data impact evaluation, service development, and stakeholder engagement to improve understanding and prediction of Earth system changes and their impacts on ecosystems, infrastructure, and communities. Eligible applicants are U.S. academic institutions offering doctoral degrees in NOAA‑related sciences or nonprofit research institutions; consortium applications are not permitted. The total anticipated funding is about $10 million, with proposals limited to 20 pages (excluding required forms) and a start date of December 1, 2026.
