Description

The Chena River Lakes Flood Control Project requires a contractor to pump and dispose of the contents of a shop floor holding tank. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, parts, and materials necessary for the pumping and disposal of the tank contents. The contractor must adhere to AKDEC and Federal regulations for the proper disposal of the holding tank contents and possess all required licenses and permits for transporting the contents. The contract is expected to involve pumping and disposal callouts primarily in the winter months, November to April, at a frequency of approximately 1 to 2 times per month. • The contractor is responsible for selecting the receiving facility for the disposal of the tank contents. • The contractor must include any additional testing or waste profiling required by the disposal facility in their price. • The contractor is responsible for sampling the holding tank water prior to pumping, transport, and removal, and any costs associated with required testing should be reflected in the contractor's pricing schedule. • The government will not provide a new analytical profile before performance, and any additional requirements per ADEC and Federal regulations should be factored into the contractor's price.

Budget estimate

$11,250 – $31,500

The budget for this contract can be estimated based on the frequency and volume of pumping and disposal callouts. The contractor can expect 1 to 2 callouts per month during the winter months, with approximately 250 to 350 gallons per callout. Assuming an average of 1.5 callouts per month for 6 months, the total volume would be around 2,250 to 3,150 gallons per year. The cost per gallon can vary depending on factors such as transportation, disposal, and labor costs. A rough estimate for the cost per gallon could be around $5 to $10. Therefore, the total budget for the contract could be in the range of $11,250 to $31,500 per year. However, this is a rough estimate and the actual budget may vary depending on various factors.
