The City of Pittsburgh is seeking bids for the installation of an ignition override system on 32 vehicles, including Ford F550s, Ford F450s, Ford E350s, and Chevy Tahoes/Suburbans. The system must be a completely hidden ignition override platform that allows engines to remain running with superior fail-safe override protection. The system must also allow the engine to remain running with the key removed, but cut off power if the vehicle is moved without re-inserting the key.
