The State of Maine is seeking a contractor to provide custodial services for the Public Defender Office in Portland. The contract will be for a period of 5 years, with the option to extend. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment, supplies, and personnel to perform the required routine tasks, including cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing all areas of the facility. The contractor must also provide a detailed plan of action in case of an emergency situation where their company has a reduction in workforce. • Required Routine Tasks: • Clean all common touch areas using EPA listed germicidal cleaners and disinfectants approved for the SARS-COV-2 cleaning procedures • Complete hygienic cleaning of all restrooms • Vacuum all carpets using a commercial/industrial vacuum cleaner with HEPA filter • Sweep and/or wet mop all chair mats • Wipe down sink and countertops in kitchen • Empty all trash containers replacing can liners and paper shredder/recyclable paper • Keep Janitorial closets clean and free of odors • Periodic Tasks: • Clean all windows inside and outside • Clean all light fixtures • Thoroughly wash walls • Wash and sanitize all trash/waste receptacles • Clean carpeting using professional cleaning equipment with a minimum temperature of 140 degrees F
