Wholesale Tree Supplier

The City of Cleveland’s Division of Urban Forestry is seeking a qualified wholesale nursery or broker to provide ongoing wholesale tree supply consulting services under a multi-year term agreement. The selected proposer will serve as a consulting sourcing partner, leveraging industry relationships and market knowledge to identify appropriate species, sizes, and quantities that meet the City’s operational needs. Key responsibilities include coordinating tree stock from a network of wholesale nurseries and growers, managing order coordination and fulfillment logistics, and ensuring all stock meets or exceeds ANSI Z60.1 standards. The proposer must have a minimum of five years’ experience as a wholesale nursery, consulting arborist, or broker supplying municipalities or large-scale planting projects. • Provide consulting and coordination services to ensure the supply of high-quality trees on an as-needed basis • Identify and coordinate tree stock from a network of wholesale nurseries and growers • Manage order coordination, substitutions, and fulfillment logistics • Demonstrate ability to source all native tree species indigenous to Northeast Ohio • Provide access to a broad range of urban-hardy cultivars • Leverage supplier relationships to fulfill both standard and limited-availability species requests • Coordinate supply of trees in any range of sizes and forms requested by the City • Ensure all stock meets or exceeds ANSI Z60.1 standards • Support variable order sizes and seasonal demand • Provide clear lead times and availability updates
