Nose Plug and Support Cup

The Army is conducting market research to identify capable sources for the production of Nose Plugs (G008) and Support Cups (FW26) used on MK80 General Purpose bombs. Respondents must demonstrate forging, heat‑treating, machining, cleaning and coating capabilities, and be able to supply 20‑30 k units per year of each part for FY27‑31. The solicitation is a Sources‑Sought notice (RFI) and does not constitute a contract award. • Required manufacturing processes: forging, heat‑treating, machining (lathe), cleaning, coating. • Anticipated annual demand: 20,000–30,000 units of each component (≈40,000–60,000 total). • Respondents must be registered in SAM, have a JCP data custodian, and provide capability statements, capacity, ROM pricing, and risk mitigation plans.
