The Citadel awarded a water‑treatment processing contract to Nalco Company, LLC to provide a comprehensive, service‑oriented water‑treatment program for the entire campus. The effort includes design, implementation, and operation of boiler, cooling‑tower, and closed‑loop water systems; regular onsite visits; chemical supply and bulk‑feed tank maintenance; laboratory analysis with a 21‑day turnaround; operator training; and continuous performance monitoring. The contract is a one‑year base period (Sept 9 2025 – Sept 8 2026) with up to four additional one‑year renewals, for a potential five‑year ceiling of $500,000. Key requirements include 2‑monthly site visits, 24‑hour on‑call support, EPA‑registered biocides, in‑house lab testing, and delivery of chemicals in returnable containers only. • Comprehensive water‑treatment services covering boilers, cooling towers, and recirculating systems. • Mandatory bi‑weekly testing, quarterly reporting, and quarterly training for plant operators. • No subcontracting allowed; all lab work must be performed by the contractor.
