Description
The Alaska Energy Authority contracted multiple firms to conduct a statewide inventory and condition assessment of bulk‑fuel storage facilities in remote Alaskan communities. The work required on‑site visits, data collection, photographic documentation, and submission of standardized assessment reports for each facility, with bi‑weekly data updates and a final report due by the end of the contract period. The contract was a fixed‑price, hub‑based award with optional month‑to‑month extensions and required compliance with federal (Denali Commission) and state regulations.
• Scope: Inventory and condition assessment of all qualifying bulk‑fuel tanks (1,320 – 420,000 gal) in 57 communities across four hubs.
• Deliverables: Assessment forms, electronic data files, hard‑copy binders, photographs, and a final consolidated report.
• Schedule: First site visit within 10 working days of award, bi‑weekly submissions thereafter, final report by 30 Nov 2014 (later extended to 30 Jun 2015) and project close‑out by 31 Jul 2015.
• Award: Four firms (CRW, Great Northern Engineering, ERM, Alaska) received the contract; the award was a lump‑sum, fixed‑price arrangement per hub.
