Description
Oregon State University is seeking a qualified consulting team to conduct a comprehensive mid‑life renewal study of Magruder Hall, a 24/7 veterinary clinic on the Corvallis campus. The study will assess the existing condition of roofs, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, hydronic, steam, and fire‑alarm systems; develop multiple remediation options; provide detailed cost opinions; and deliver a two‑part report (initial findings and final recommendations). Only firms that are part of OSU’s 2019‑2023 Professional Consultant Reserve may submit, and a mandatory pre‑proposal conference was required. The award is being made to PAE Engineers on a time‑and‑materials basis, with the fee evaluated primarily on the “lowest fee” principle.
• Scope covers ~40 distinct building‑system items, including roof replacement, HVAC equipment renewal, DDC conversion, lighting retrofits, solar feasibility, elevator modernization, and optional RO water and cooling alternates.
• Deliverables: narrative assessment reports, option analyses, cost/ROM estimates, and design‑package sketches; no construction drawings are required.
• The contract is a consulting services award (T&M) issued after a full‑open competition, with the award intent announced 13 Feb 2024.
