Match is your company profile in Bid Banana, and it does two jobs at once. Tell the platform what your business actually does and Search stops being a blank box — your feed starts surfacing the open bids that fit you. At the same time, buyers get a profile they can find you through. It takes under five minutes and it is included with an active subscription.
◆ NOTE: This feature was previously called Company Profile. It is now Match, and it has its own tab in the navigation bar.
What Problem Does Match Solve?
A search box only knows what you type into it. That puts the burden on you to think of the right query, in the right words, every time — and to keep thinking of new ones as agencies phrase the same work differently. Miss a synonym and you miss the bid.
Match inverts that. Once the platform knows your industry, your services, the keywords you would search for and your territory, it can match open bids to your company rather than waiting for you to guess the query. Search knows the bids; Match knows you.
How Does It Work?
Three steps, and only the first one needs you.
- Tell us what you do. Your industry, the services you provide, the keywords you would search for, and who is on your team. Under five minutes.
- Your feed builds itself. Search starts matching open bids against your profile, and keeps updating as new ones land.
- Buyers can find you. Agencies, primes and private companies can reach your profile and send bid invitations directly to your team.
💡 Tip: The keyword and services fields do the heavy lifting. Write them the way a procurement officer would describe the work, not the way your website sells it — "janitorial and custodial services", not "facility care solutions".
What Does the Profile Unlock?
A Bid Feed That Knows Your Company
Your feed surfaces the open bids matching your industry, services and keywords, and refreshes as new opportunities are collected. It does not replace searching — you will still run specific queries, and you should — but it means something useful is waiting for you on the days you don't.
One Profile for the Whole Team
Everyone works from the same profile and the same feed, so a bid never sits unnoticed in one person's inbox while they are on holiday. Bid pursuits are rarely a solo activity, and the platform is built on that assumption.
A Public Profile
Your services, capabilities, certifications and target markets in one place you can point people at — a storefront rather than a search history.
Direct Bid Invitations
Buyers actively looking for your capabilities can invite you to bid, straight to you and your team. This is the part worth paying attention to: it is the only route in the platform where work arrives without you going to look for it.
Vendor Search — Coming Soon
Agencies, primes and private companies searching by industry, capability and location will be able to find you directly. It isn't live yet, which is precisely the argument for building your profile now: the companies who have already filled theirs in are the ones who will surface from day one.
How Do I Add My Team?
Go to Account Settings > Team, enter a colleague's email address and pick a role. There are four:
- Member — full Search access, and can create and work on bids. Uses one paid seat.
- Admin — everything a Member can do, plus inviting and removing teammates, changing roles, and editing the company profile, content library and brand kit. One paid seat.
- Owner — everything an Admin can do, plus billing: seats, purchases and credit packs. One paid seat.
- Viewer — free and unlimited, read-only, and does not include Search. Useful for colleagues who need to follow the work without running searches themselves.
◆ NOTE: Owners, Admins and Members each consume one paid seat. Use Manage seats on the Team tab to change how many your plan covers — see managing your subscription.
Does Match Replace Searching?
No, and the two work best together. A Match profile that scores open bids against your company gives you a standing view of what fits you generally. A saved search gives you a daily email for one specific thing you are hunting. Most subscribers who get real value from the platform run both: the profile for breadth, saved searches for the pursuits that matter.
Five Minutes Now, a Better Feed Forever
Set up your profile once and every search you run afterwards already knows who you are — and the buyers looking for what you do get somewhere to find you. It is included with your subscription, there is no setup fee, and you can change it whenever your business does.
Frequently asked questions
- What happened to Bid Banana Company Profile?
- It is called Match now, and it has its own tab in the navigation bar. Same idea, expanded: as well as personalising your feed, it gives buyers a profile they can find and invite you through. Older company profile links redirect to Match.
- Does Bid Banana Match cost extra?
- No. Match is included with every active Bid Banana subscription, with no setup fee. It is not a separate product to buy.
- How long does it take to set up a Match profile?
- Under five minutes for the essentials — industry, services, keywords, territory and team. You can come back and sharpen it whenever you notice your feed drifting away from the work you actually want.
- Do I have to set up Match to use Bid Banana?
- No. Search works fully without a profile. Match makes your results better and makes your company findable by buyers, but it is optional.
- Is my whole Match profile public?
- The profile is designed to be discoverable by buyers — that is the point of it — and it includes visibility controls so you decide what appears publicly. Review those settings as you build it out, particularly around contact details and business specifics.
- Can everyone on my team see the same Match feed?
- Yes. One profile serves the whole team, so everybody sees the same matched opportunities and works from the same information. Bid invitations from buyers reach the team rather than a single inbox.
- What is the difference between Match and a saved search?
- Match gives you a standing view of what fits your company generally, without you having to ask. A saved search gives you a daily email for one specific thing you are hunting. Most subscribers who get real value from Bid Banana run both: the profile for breadth, saved searches for the pursuits that matter.
