Description:
The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR) is offering grants to support targeted capital improvements that maintain and strengthen the Commonwealth's agricultural infrastructure. The grants will fund durable, long-lived capital investments that improve operational reliability, safety, environmental performance, and efficiency within the existing footprint of agricultural operations. Eligible projects include energy efficiency retrofits, monitoring and precision agriculture equipment, soil health equipment, food safety and cold storage equipment, and compost equipment. Applicants must be Massachusetts farmers who operate an agricultural business engaged in production agriculture and have been in continuous operation on the same property for at least three years.
