Scrap Metal and Aluminum Recycling

The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking bids for scrap metal and aluminum recycling services. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing state-certified scales for weighing Department trucks and metal, and for paying for the scrap metal based on the current AMM Chicago Market Price. The contract will be for an initial period of approximately 1 year, with the possibility of extension for up to 4 additional one-year periods. Key requirements include: * Providing state-certified scales for weighing Department trucks and metal * Paying for scrap metal based on the current AMM Chicago Market Price * Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations * Providing a copy of the weight ticket and a current copy of the AMM Chicago Market Price to the KYTC employee making delivery * Submitting payment for each load upon delivery along with a legible copy of all weight tickets and the corresponding AMM Chicago Market Price List Some key points to consider: * The contract will be awarded to all responsive bidders who bid reasonable percentages * The KYTC reserves the right to reject any bid received if the percentage bid is deemed too low * The successful bidder will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations * The contract may be extended for up to 4 additional one-year periods * The KYTC reserves the right to modify or terminate the contract at any time
