The County of Lehigh is soliciting qualified contractors to provide comprehensive trash collection services for a wide range of county facilities throughout a one‑year contract period (Nov 1 2026 – Oct 31 2027) with possible three‑year extensions. Bidders must submit one original hard‑copy bid and one electronic copy by 4:00 PM on Sep 9 2026, with bids opened the following morning. The scope includes regular scheduled pickups, on‑call service, provision and maintenance of dumpsters/receptacles, compliance with the County Solid Waste Management Plan, and adherence to strict pickup timing and performance penalties. The contract requires a 100 % performance bond, appropriate permits, and liability insurance. No bid security is required, but a performance bond equal to the total contract value is mandatory. The County may add or delete sites during the contract term, and may request temporary additional containers at pre‑established rates.
